- Deacon Shoenberger, PhD – Dr. Shoenberger cofounded HPA and is the current clinical supervisor at HPA. He is a board approved supervisor for psychologists, psychological assistants, psychological trainees and social work interns. He provides regular supervision in behavioral medicine, cognitive behavioral therapy for adults, adolescents, and children, and psychological assessment.
- Natalie Sanchez, MFT – Natalie cofounded HPA and is the current clinical director at HPA. She is an AAMFT approved supervisor for marriage and family therapy interns, clinical professional counselor interns, and social work interns. She provides regular supervision in cognitive behavioral therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
- Mick Hall, MFT – Mick cofounded HPA and passed away on 10/4/2019. He was Dr. Shoenberger’s first clinical supervisor and supervised countless mental health professionals throughout his long career. His mantra of “kindness, kindness, and more kindness” influences the work of every clinician at HPA.
- Steve Graybar, PhD – Dr. Graybar cofounded HPA and maintains a private practice in Reno. He now provides regular consultation to interns and staff in psychotherapy integration, psychotherapy for psychosis, object relations theory, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
- Mike Lewandowski, PhD – Dr. Lewandowski cofounded HPA and maintains a private practice in Reno. He now provides regular consultation to staff and interns in pain psychology and chronic pain management.
- Sarah Burkett, PhD – Dr. Burkett is currently employed at HPA. She is a board approved supervisor for psychologists and provides supervision and training in neuropsychological and psychological assessment.
- Josette Iribarne, PhD – Dr. Iribarne completed her postdoc at HPA is currently employed at HPA. She provides consultation and training in neuropsychological and psychological assessment.
- Matt Boland, PhD – Dr. Boland completed an externship and post-doc at HPA, as well as a research postdoc with the University of San Diego. He is currently employed at HPA and provides consultation and training in assessment and treatment of PTSD, chronic pain, and bariatrics.
- Chad Doerr, PsyD – Dr. Doerr is currently employed at HPA and provides consultation and training in performance psychology and biofeedback.
- Kevin Seid, PhD – Dr. Seid completed his postdoc at HPA and is currently employed at HPA. He provides consultation and training in TFCBT and child and adolescent therapy.
- Todd Sewell, PhD – Dr. Sewell was the first pre-doctoral psychological trainee to work at HPA and is now licensed and practicing in the state of New Mexico. He provides regular consultation and training to HPA employees in prolonged exposure therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and cognitive therapy for depression.
- Eddie Erazo, PhD – Dr. Erazo was a psychological trainee with HPA from 2015-2016 and is now licensed and practicing in the state of California. He provides consultation and training to HPA employees in cognitive and mindfulness-based therapies for chronic illness and anxiety.
- Andrew “Dugg” Ahrendt, PhD – Dr. Ahrendt was a psychological trainee with HPA from 2017-2019 and is now licensed and practicing in the state of Nebraska. He provides consultation and training to HPA employees in bariatric assessment and therapy and behavioral medicine.
- Emerson Epstein, MA – Emerson was a psychological trainee with HPA from 2016-2020 and is currently in the process of completing his doctoral internship. He provides regular consultation and training to HPA employees in psychological and neuropsychological assessment and also maintains the HPA website.
- Dean Hinitz, PhD – Dr. Hinitz maintains a private practice in Reno and is also a professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada. He provides consultation and training in psychodynamic therapy and trauma.
