The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is dedicated to providing the highest level of evidence-based psychiatric treatment to our community. We are dedicated to developing the next generation of psychiatrists through our Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship programs.

Psychology is one of the largest majors at the University of Nevada, Reno with more than 400 undergraduates majoring in psychology in three tracks: general, research and behavior analysis. Our doctoral degree programs in behavior analysis, clinical psychology and cognitive and brain science offer comprehensive training.

The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) is the professional association for the field of marriage and family therapy. We represent the professional interests of more than 50,000 marriage and family therapists throughout the United States, Canada and abroad.

Nevada Surgical provides bariatric surgery (i.e., weight loss surgery; e.g., sleeve gastrectomy). We help with weight management and behavioral issues that interfere with weight loss so as to improve your outcomes.

Sweetwater Pain and Spine provides a number of procedures for acute and chronic pain (e.g., injections, spinal cord stimulators). We help with pain management and specifically target cognitive behavioral issues that may interfere with effective pain management.

The Swift Institute provides pain management services in Carson City. We provide behavioral health services to promote effective pain management outcomes.

Washoe County School District provides the youth of Washoe County with education according to national standards. We provide assessment and treatment to teachers in need so as to improve quality of life for both teachers and students.

Radiance Ketamine Clinic provides innovative ketamine treatments for those suffering from depression, PTSD, anxiety, OCD and certain types of chronic nerve pain. We accept a variety of insurance plans, including both Medicare and Medicaid.

The Reno Police Department is able to help with psychological emergencies and helps refer patients to the proper care solutions.

Washoe County Juvenile Services helps young people reach the care they need.

The Second Judicial District Court connects those who need psychological support to the appropriate care providers, including Health Psychology Associates.
